3 As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. “Tell us,” they said, “when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?”	4 “Tell us, when will these things happen? And what will be the sign that they are all about to be fulfilled?”	7 “Teacher,” they asked, “when will these things happen? And what will be the sign that they are about to take place?”
4 Jesus answered: “Watch out that no-one deceives you. 5 For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many.	5 Jesus said to them: “Watch out that no-one deceives you. 6 Many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am he,’ and will deceive many.	8 He replied: “Watch out that you are not deceived. For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am he,’ and ‘The time is near.’ Do not follow them.
6 You will hear of wars and rumours of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come.	7 When you hear of wars and rumours of wars, do not be alarmed. 	10 And the gospel must first be preached to all nations.
		13 This will result in your being witnesses to them.
10 At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, 11 and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people.	12 “Brother will betray brother to death, and a father his child. Children will rebel against their parents and have them put to death.	16 You will be betrayed even by parents, brothers, relatives and friends, and they will put some of you to death.

27 For as lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.		17:24For the Son of Man in his day will be like the lightning, which flashes and lights up the sky from one end to the other.
28 Wherever there is a carcass, there the vultures will gather.		17:37 “Where, Lord?” they asked. He replied, “Where there is a dead body, there the vultures will gather.”
29 “Immediately after the distress of those days “‘the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from the sky, and the heavenly bodies will be shaken.’	24 “But in those days, following that distress, “‘the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; 25 the stars will fall from the sky, and the heavenly bodies will be shaken.’	21:25 “There will be signs in the sun, moon and stars. On the earth, nations will be in anguish and perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea. 26 Men will faint from terror, apprehensive of what is coming on the world, for the heavenly bodies will be shaken.
30 “At that time the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and all the nations of the earth will mourn. They will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky, with power and great glory.	26 “At that time men will see the Son of Man coming in clouds with great power and glory.	27 At that time they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.
31 And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other	27 And he will send his angels and gather his elect from the four winds, from the ends of the earth to the ends of the heavens.
		28 When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.”

38 For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark;		17:27 People were eating, drinking, marrying and being given in marriage up to the day Noah entered the ark. Then the flood came and destroyed them all.
39 and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.
40 Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. 41 Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left.		17:34 I tell you, on that night two people will be in one bed; one will be taken and the other left. 35 Two women will be grinding grain together; one will be taken and the other left.”
		17:28 “It was the same in the days of Lot. People were eating and drinking, buying and selling, planting and building. 29 But the day Lot left Sodom, fire and sulphur rained down from heaven and destroyed them all. 30 “It will be just like this on the day the Son of Man is revealed. 31 On that day no-one who is on the roof of his house, with his goods inside, should go down to get them. Likewise, no-one in the field should go back for anything. 32 Remember Lot’s wife! 33 Whoever tries to keep his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life will preserve it.
42 “Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come.	33 Be on guard! Be alert! You do not know when that time will come.	21:36 Be always on the watch, and pray that you may be able to escape all that is about to happen, and that you may be able to stand before the Son of Man.”
43 But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into.
	34 It’s like a man going away: He leaves his house and puts his servants in charge, each with his assigned task, and tells the one at the door to keep watch. 35 “Therefore keep watch because you do not know when the owner of the house will come back--whether in the evening, or at midnight, or when the cock crows, or at dawn. 36 If he comes suddenly, do not let him find you sleeping. 37 What I say to you, I say to everyone: ‘Watch!’”
44 So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him. 45 “Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom the master has put in charge of the servants in his household to give them their food at the proper time? 46 It will be good for that servant whose master finds him doing so when he returns. 47 I tell you the truth, he will put him in charge of all his possessions. 48 But suppose that servant is wicked and says to himself, ‘My master is staying away a long time,’ 49 and he then begins to beat his fellow-servants and to eat and drink with drunkards. 50 The master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he is not aware of. 51 He will cut him to pieces and assign him a place with the hypocrites, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.		34 “Be careful, or your hearts will be weighed down with dissipation, drunkenness and the anxieties of life, and that day will close on you unexpectedly like a trap. 35 For it will come upon all those who live on the face of the whole earth.
